When our little bank started many years ago we set an achievable target of a $1 billion book. SCFC now has 4 branches (2 freehold) on Sunny Coast. 2019 book is over $450 million will hit $1/2 billion in 2020 halfway to our unachievable target. SCFC put over $1 million back into the community by way of direct cash grants to clubs and community organisations. The NFPB brand is designed to promote all things local, hopefully it will one-day be instantly recognisable as a conduit between the consumer and the producer for clean green produce services and more.
NFPB promotes local produce through paddock to the plate transactions, putting the consumer in touch with the local farmer. Facilitates other community enterprise, micro grid power, farm stays, ecotourism and more. Integrated into NFPB is Planet Forward a not-for-profit, as the name suggests it’s designed to make our footprint on earth a little bit lighter so our lifestyle will be sustainable and in time our environment may improve.
Janis has dedicated a good portion of her adult life to Human Services, which stems from raising 2 children with disabilities. Her daughter Jenni, lives in Tewantin and is supported by Wesley Care in a group home, and the quality of care in these situations is of paramount importance to Janis. She has been on the board of many charitable foundations and has also instigated support groups for individuals with disabilities. She is regularly raising funds for different charities and sees this as a fun and exciting way to be active in the community.
She has been referred to as a ‘Serial Helper” and brings this passion to the Chamber with a vision for the Noosa CCIQ to be a force to be reckoned with when representing the needs of our local businesses and community groups.
Janis lives in Eumundi with her husband Ray, her stepchildren Daniel & Jessie, and her lovable dogs Alfie & Louie.
